German Separable Verbs

German Separable Verbs: 106 Verbs with Examples

Separable verbs (trennbare Verben) split apart in a main clause: anrufen becomes “Ich rufe dich heute Abend an”, with the prefix pushed to the end. This deck has 106 of the most useful ones, grouped by prefix (auf-, an-, ab-, aus-, ein-, vor-, zu- and more), from everyday aufstehen and einkaufen to trickier vorkommen and abschließen.

Every card has IPA and an example sentence that shows the split in action, with an English translation. Levels run from A1 to B2, so the deck works for beginners meeting their first separable verbs and for intermediate learners who still forget where the prefix goes.
