German A2 Exam Phrases

German A2 Exam Phrases: 136 for Writing and Speaking

The writing and speaking parts of an A2 exam such as the Goethe-Zertifikat A2 reward the right phrases. This deck has 136 of them, grouped by task. For writing: opening and closing an email or text message (Sehr geehrte Frau …, Viele Grüße), apologising, giving a reason with weil, denn and deshalb, thanking, inviting, accepting, declining and asking for information.

For speaking: the questions to make from each keyword card (Geburtstag? becomes Wann hast du Geburtstag?), phrases for talking about your own life, and everything you need to plan something with a partner, from Hast du am Samstag Zeit? to Wie wäre es mit Sonntag? and Einverstanden! Each card has an example sentence with a translation and, where it matters, a short note on word order or formal and informal use.
