German Prepositions & Cases
German Prepositions and Cases: Accusative, Dative, Two-Way
Every German preposition takes a case, and the case changes the article: mit dem Bus, für den Bus. This deck has 45 cards grouped the way you need to learn them: accusative prepositions (durch, für, gegen, ohne, um), dative prepositions (aus, bei, mit, nach, seit, von, zu) and two-way prepositions.
Two-way prepositions like in, an and auf take the accusative for movement (auf den Tisch) and the dative for location (auf dem Tisch), so each one has a card for both. Prepositions with more than one meaning, such as bei or nach, get one card per meaning. Every card has IPA and an example sentence. Most are A1 to A2.
